Neighbourhood Development Plans (NDPs) are neighbourhood level planning policy documents with policies designed to reflect the needs and priorities of local communities. They can identify where development should take place, set out local design principles so that buildings respond positively to local character, and protect important facilities, historic buildings, the natural environment and open spaces. Made (adopted) NDPs are part of the local statutory development plan for their area.
Our Neighbourhood Plan was formally made by Rugby Borough Council on 17 December 2019 following a successful examination and referendum. It now forms part of the Rugby Local Plan (2011 - 2031) and there is a legal requirement to take it into consideration when determining planning applications in Willoughby Parish.
